about connections hotel & travel registration sessions
You should be able to find answers to most of your questions by visiting ultimatesoftware.com/connections. If not, please e-mail your questions to connections@ultimatesoftware.com. Please allow at least 24 hours for a response to an e-mail.
What if I have questions about Connections?
• Business casual attire is recommended. • Because hotel conference rooms can sometimes be chilly, bring a jacket or sweater with you. • The conference area is very large, so comfortable shoes are always a great idea. • Wear your name badge at all times so you can get into all events. • Carry your water bottle with you and stay hydrated. Las Vegas is a desert!
What is the dress code for Connections?
It’s a great opportunity to learn more about UltiPro best practices and the latest UltiPro product innovations, network with thousands of other customers, and meet one-on-one with Ultimate experts.
Why should I attend Connections 2017?
Yes! If five or more employees from one company register for Connections 2017 at the same time between September 12 and December 4, each attendee will save $300 off the standard individual pricing. From December 5, through March 17, each attendee will save $200 off the standard individual pricing. After March 17, the group rate is no longer available.
Are group discounts available if multiple people from my company attend?
Cancellations received by January 15, 2017 are eligible for a refund of the registration fee less a $125 processing fee. From January 16th through February 12th, all cancellations will be assessed a $500 cancellation fee. After February 12th, absolutely no refunds are available.
Are there penalties for cancelling my registration?
You may send another person from your company at no additional charge. Substitutions can be made in writing to connections@ultimatesoftware.com.
If I can't attend, can I transfer my registration to someone else in my organization?
Travel and hotel costs are the responsibility of the attendee.
The registration fee includes access to: • General sessions, breakout sessions, and all networking events • Ultimate Experience • Breakfasts from Tuesday through Friday • Lunches from Tuesday through Thursday • Tuesday Evening Receptions, Wednesday Ultimate Experience Reception, and Thursday Customer Appreciation Parties
What’s included with my registration fee?
While this year we are increasing the number of seats available in Hands-on Learning sessions, we cannot guarantee that you’ll be able to register for a specific Hands-on class. They will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. In an effort to offer every attendee the opportunity to attend a Hands-on session, you initially will be limited to selecting one Hands-on class. Excess capacity will be made available to sign up for additional classes. Please note that all of the content offered in Hands-on sessions is available year-round via UltiUniversity.
Will I be able to get into a Hands-on Learning session?
Traditionally, the American Payroll Association and the Society for Human Resource Management have approved Connections for recertification credits. We expect that this will be the case for the 2017 conference as well. Unfortunately, because Connections is not open to the general public, the HR Certification Institute will not preapprove the conference for HRCI credit hours. But attendees can self-report their attendance at breakout sessions. Ultimate Software cannot guarantee that HRCI will accept those requests.
Will recertification credits be offered at Connections 2017?
Registration for all sessions will open in February. You will be notified when session selection becomes available.
When can I register for breakout sessions?
Yes, you are responsible for reserving and managing your own hotel room by contacting either one of our three contracted hotels (to take advantage of our discounted room rates) or any hotel of your choosing. Contact information and reservation links for our contracted hotels are available under the About > Travel section of this website.
Do I have to contact the hotel directly to book, change or cancel my room reservation?
Most major airlines operate out of Las Vegas-McCarran International Airport (LAS).
What airport should I fly in and out of?
Ideally, you should plan to arrive by the evening of Monday, March 20th and leave early afternoon on Friday, March 24th, 2017. Based on customer preferences, on Tuesday we are offering a full agenda of sessions and the Ultimate Experience exhibit floor will open on Tuesday morning. Wait, that’s not all – we also have two general sessions Tuesday afternoon (starting at 3:00 pm) featuring our product leadership team.
When should I fly in/out of Las Vegas?
If you’re flying to Las Vegas to attend Connections, McCarran International Airport (LAS) is only minutes away from the Strip. Shuttles will cost about $7 one way up to $16 roundtrip. Taxis are approximately $20 one way. Taxis charge a service fee for using a credit card. The trip from McCarran to Bellagio is about 4 miles and should take no more than 15 minutes via cab.
