Things really get pumping on Tuesday morning at 8:30 am with our opening keynote. Community Service Project
Join Ultimate Software for a volunteer activity to kick off the week while making a lasting impact on the local Las Vegas Community! April is recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Child Rescue Coalition is a non-profit that enables law enforcement to track, arrest, and prosecute child predators using a proprietary technology platform. You’ll get a brief overview of the technology, followed by a fun activity assembling care packages for rescued children.

Las Vegas is Ultimate Software’s home away from home during Connections – and we would love it if you helped us give back to the community that has given us so much.
April is recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month in the United States, and Child Rescue Coalition is a non-profit that enables law enforcement to track, arrest and prosecute child predators using a proprietary technology platform created by its founder and given to law enforcement 100% free of charge. Join us in the afternoon on Monday, April 1st for an optional activity as we assemble care packages for Child Rescue Coalition. These care packages will be donated to the Las Vegas police department who will give them to children in need or who are rescued – allowing Connections 2019 participants to have a lasting impact on the local community. Larry Bird, referred to as “The Living Legend” by Sports Illustrated, is credited with the national resurgence of the NBA in the 1980’s and internationally in the 90’s by co-captaining the very first professional Olympic Dream Team. Larry by far has one of the most impressive resumes in sports annals: Rookie of the Year, 12 NBA All-Star selections, multiple MVP awards and Hall of Fame enshrinements, and three NBA championship titles with the Boston Celtics. Larry’s intense work ethic, is what led to the title selection of his best-selling autobiography, Drive: The Story of My Life. Larry also co-authored Bird Watching: On Playing and Coaching the Game I Love and then partnered with Magic Johnson to write When the Game Was Ours. From 2003 until 2017, Larry led the Indiana Pacers as President of Basketball Operations until he stepped down to serve as a special consultant.

When should I fly in/out of Las Vegas?
Conference registration and check-in will be open on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 1 – 8 pm PT. There will also be an optional Community Service Activity on Monday afternoon. If for some reason you are unable to make it within the 1 – 8 pm timeframe, there will be early morning check-in on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 starting at 6:30 am PT. Our first general session kicks off at 8:30 am PT. Our final conference event will be our Customer Appreciation Party on Thursday night, beginning at 8:00 pm and ending at 1:00 am on Friday, April 5, 2019. Conference attendees should book their outgoing travel for Friday morning anytime. Hotel checkout time is 11:00 am; the bell desk can hold your luggage, if needed.
What airport should I fly in and out of?
Most major airlines operate out of Las Vegas-McCarran International Airport (LAS).
Which hotel should I stay at – Wynn Las Vegas or Encore?
The hotels are on the same property, connected by the conference space in the center. Both hotels are excellent options and will get you to the conference space.
Do I have to contact the hotel directly to book my room?
Yes. You can click here to access Wynn Las Vegas and Encore’s reservation site to get our reduced rate or you can call them at 866-770-7555 or 702-770-2222. Make sure to mention you are with the Ultimate Software Group. Note: Rates cannot be changed at check-in. Our room block will expire on March 11, 2019. At that time, the room rate will increase to the hotel’s rack rate, which could be considerably more expensive. Once our room block is full or expires, we cannot get that negotiated rate for anyone.
How can I cancel or change my hotel reservation?
Please either call the hotel directly at 866-770-7555 or 702-770-2222 with any changes to your room reservation or click here to change them on their website. Please do not contact Ultimate Software as we do not have access to your hotel reservations.
Are group discounts available if multiple people from my company attend?
Yes, and we have exciting news! The group rate is now available to three or more paying customers, registering together at the current rate under one group leader. The group discount enables you to receive over $150 off the individual pricing. Discount is applied automatically when 3 or more people register at the same time under one group leader.
During the Pre-Registration period (10/30/18 – 12/10/18) you will pay $1,595 per person with the group discount and during Early Bird Registration (12/11/18 – 2/4/19) you will pay $1,695 per person with the group discount. After February 4, 2019, no group discount will be offered.
I’m registered! How do I select my breakout sessions?
Registration for all sessions will open by late February 2019. Customers registered for Connections 2019 will be notified when session selection becomes available.
Will I be able to get into a Hands-on Learning session?
We will again be offering a substantial amount of seats in Hands-on Learning sessions. However, as these are extremely popular sessions among attendees we cannot guarantee that you’ll be able to have a spot in every session. The sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. When session registration opens (end of February), customers will be able to select one (1) Hands-on Learning session. 1 week later, we will open the rest of the breakout sessions, at which time customers can choose additional Hands-on Learning sessions, along with their regular breakout sessions.
Will recertification credits be offered at Connections 2019?
In the past, the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) has approved Connections for recertification credits. In 2018, SHRM approved Connections for 31 Professional Development Credits (PDCs). We expect this will be similar for the 2019 conference, but until we apply for approval after we finalize our breakout session content we cannot confirm any number of PDCs for 2019. Unfortunately, the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) will not pre-approve Connections, as it is not open to the public. Attendees are welcome to self-report their attendance at breakout sessions; however, Ultimate Software cannot guarantee that HRCI will accept those requests.
The American Payroll Association (APA) has made a number of recent changes to their recertification policy. Unfortunately, it has become prohibitive for us to obtain approval for APA recertification credits.
What are the cancellation fees if I cannot attend?
Cancellations received by February 4, 2019 are eligible for a refund of the registration fee less a $125 processing fee. From February 5, 2019 through March 4, 2019 all cancellations will be assessed a $500 cancellation fee. After March 4, absolutely no refunds are available.
If I can't attend, can I transfer my registration to someone else in my organization?
You may send another person from your company in your place at no additional charge. Substitutions can be made in writing to email@example.com up until March 29, 2019 at Noon (ET).
What if I have questions about Connections?

What is the dress code for Connections?
• Business casual attire is recommended
• Hotel conference rooms can sometimes be chilly, so bring a jacket or sweater with you
• The conference area is very large, so comfortable shoes are a must
• Wear your name badge at all times so you can get into all sessions and events
• Carry your water bottle with you and stay hydrated. Las Vegas is a desert!
I hear that the conference space is “very large” – what exactly does that mean?
Between the 2 (connected) hotels, there are over 4,700 guest rooms. There are theaters, nightclubs, a wedding chapel, almost 20 fine dining and casual restaurants, and 6 bars/lounges. PLUS, there is over 60,000 square feet of conference area space. During Connections, we take up all of the conference space (including three large ballrooms). We recommend flat shoes that you are comfortable walking in (this isn’t a fashion show!). In 2018, it was not uncommon for attendees to average 10,000 - 15,000 steps a day – and this included sitting for many hours during sessions!
What time is check-in and checkout?
Guests can check-in after 3:00 pm. Checkout is at 11:00 am. If you arrive earlier/later, the bell desks at each hotel can store your luggage for you.
Can I use a company card to pay for my hotel room?
You may reserve your hotel room with any credit card you choose; however, when you check in you will be required to present a card with your name on it for incidentals. PLEASE NOTE: The credit card used to book this reservation must be presented upon arrival at the Front Desk and match the name of the guest checking in. If this is not possible, please contact the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Reservations Team at 866-770-7555 or 702-770-2222 prior so they can process the corporate card not in your name. Please do this at least 72 hours prior to check-in so any questions can be addressed prior to your arrival.
How much does the hotel put on hold on my credit card for incidentals?
Both, Wynn Las Vegas and Encore place a hold $150 per day on the credit card upon check-in. This hold allows guests to charge items to their rooms, such as restaurant or bar charges, gift shop merchandise, in-room dining, etc. This $150 per day hold will be charged to the credit card used presented at check-in, not the card used to reserve the room. If the credit card you are using to check-in does not have your name on it, the hotels will not accept it unless you call the reservation line 866-770-7555 or 702-770-2222 in advance and make arrangements at least 72 hours prior to check-in.
How much is the Resort Fee and what does it include?
The Nightly Resort Fee will be charged upon check-in to your hotel room onsite. We have negotiated a reduced resort fee for our customers attending Connections 2019. Instead of $39 per day, you will only be charged $20 per day upon check-in. The Resort Fee includes the following: In-room internet access for up to 4 devices, access to the fitness center, complimentary self-parking and/or validated valet parking, access to resort pools, and more.
Can I ship items to the hotels?
Yes; you may ship items to your attention at the hotel. Please note there is a fee for the hotels to accept and store packages. Fees vary; please call the hotel at (702) 770-7000 or (888) 320-7123 to inquire about rates.
What are the hours of the Fitness Centers?
The Wynn and Encore fitness centers are open from 5:30 am to 8:00 pm. More information can be found here.
Where can I store my luggage if I get in early or my flight doesn’t leave until later?
Both hotels have bell desks that can store your luggage prior to check-in/checkout.
What if I need to leave the conference early?
Per hotel policy, an early departure fee of one-night room and tax will be incurred if you do not modify your departure date prior to or upon check-in.

We are not able to offer guest passes to Connections. We expect to meet the venue’s room capacities again this year with all of our fabulous customers, wonderful partners/sponsors, and knowledgeable staff. The fire marshal is closely watching how we fill up the meeting space, including the ballrooms, breakout session rooms, and meal areas. The only people allowed in any of the meetings areas will be our customers, sponsors, and staff members. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

If you’re flying to Las Vegas to attend Connections, McCarran International Airport (LAS) is only 15 to 20 minutes away from Wynn Las Vegas and Encore. Depending on traffic, a taxi ride from the airport to the hotel may cost up to $45.00. Uber and Lyft offer an advanced booking option and run up to $20.00. If you’re driving to the resort, Wynn Las Vegas and Encore are located on Las Vegas Blvd., between Sands Avenue and Desert Inn Road, across the street from Fashion Show mall. From
I-15, exit Spring Mountain Road and head to Spring Mountain East/Las Vegas Blvd. Self-parking and valet parking are both available (and included in the resort fee) to hotel guests using your room key. Both Wynn and Encore have their own self-parking garages. Wynn's garage is located on Las Vegas Blvd. and Encore's garage is located just beyond the Encore valet drive. Tipping is recommended.
Our host hotel and negotiated room blocks are at Wynn Las Vegas and Encore resort. Wynn Resorts are the highest rated resort company in the world with more Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Awards than any other independent hotel company in the world.
